Jean-Armand de Joyeuse, Marquis de Grandpré

Jean -Armand de Joyeuse (1631-1710), called " marquis " de Joyeuse, baron de Saint- Jean, seigneur de Ville- sur- Tourbe, was a French general and Marshal of France.

Jean -Armand de Joyeuse was a son of Jean de Joyeuse, a French cavalry officer. He fought from 1648 in Germany and the Netherlands, 1688 Knight of the Order of the Holy Spirit, Marshal of France in 1693 and in 1697 governor of the fortress of Metz, Verdun and Toulon.

He died in 1710 without heirs.
