Jean-Baptiste Faure

Jean -Baptiste Faure ( born January 15, 1830 in Moulins (Allier ); † November 9, 1914 in Paris) was a French baritone and composer of songs.

Faure taught at the Paris Conservatoire from 1857 to 1860, he wrote two books on singing. La Voix et le Chant (1886 ) and Aux Jeunes Chanteurs (1898 ). He also composed songs that were issued in two albums. The best-known songs are Crucifix and Les Rameaux.
