Jean Baptiste Senaillé

Jean -Baptiste Senaillé (* 1687, † October 15, 1730 ) was a French composer and violinist of the Baroque.

Life

Jean -Baptiste was the son of the " Vingt- quatre Violons du Roy ". He studied with Jean -Baptiste Anet and Giovanni Antonio Piani. During a stay in Italy, he perfected his game at Tomaso Antonio Vitali. 1720 he was accepted into the ranks of the company founded by Lully elite ensembles of " Vingt- quatre Violons ". He belonged to the French musicians who combined the Italian with the French style in their compositions. His fifty violin sonatas are distinguished by melody, violinistic virtuosity, French dance rhythms and a Generalbaßbegleitung in Italian style.
