Jean-Daniel Nicoud

Jean -Daniel Nicoud ( born August 31, 1938) is a Swiss physicist and computer specialist.

Life

Nicoud studied physics at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne ( EPFL) and received his doctorate in 1970 with the signature Algorithmes et systèmes logiques spécialisés pour la conversion de code. In 1973 he was appointed professor at the EPFL professor and emeritus professor in August 2000.

Nicouds LAMI research laboratory ( Laboratoire de Micro- Informatique ) developed the computer system Smaky, his focus was on research and publications on the subject microprocessor.
