Jean-Jacques Aeschlimann

Jean -Jacques " J. J. " Aeschlimann (* May 30, 1967 in Biel ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player.

Career

Jean -Jacques Aeschlimann began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at the EHC Biel, for which he was active in the National League A 1985-1991. He then moved to the league rivals HC Lugano, with whom he was Swiss champion in 1999 and 2003 respectively. The 2005/06 season, he started at Fribourg- Gottéron, but for which he was only in two games on the ice, before the second division side Lausanne HC joined, where he ended his career after the 2006/07 season.

Aeschlimann was known as a penalty specialist. He is a regular studio guest at SRF two during the NLA playoffs.

Internationally

For Switzerland Aeschlimann took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in 1987, and the B- World Cup 1994 part. In addition, he was in the squad of Switzerland to the A- World Championships 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003, and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
