Jean-Lesage generating station

The Réservoir Manic 2 is an artificial lake in the Canadian province of Québec.

It is located in the Côte -Nord, about 25 kilometers northwest of Baie- Comeau. Its area is 114 km ² at full back.

The dam Barrage Manic -2 accumulates at ( ⊙ 49.32083-68.3475 ) the Rivière Manicouagan and its tributary Rivière Toulnustouc on. The associated hydropower plant Jean- Lesage has a capacity of 1145 MW, the drop height is 70.11 meters. It is since 2010 by Jean Lesage, a former Prime Minister of Quebec, named. The former name of the power plant was Manic -2.
