Jean-Louis Bourlanges

Jean -Louis Bourlanges ( born July 13, 1946 in Neuilly ) is a French politician and essayist.

Life and education

Jean -Louis Bourlanges graduated at the Institut d' études politiques de Paris in Paris in 1969. From 2002 he was a professor there. He had at Johns Hopkins University another teaching job.

As an author he is best known in France. He is married and has one daughter.

Policy

Jean -Louis Bourlanges is Vice President of the UDF.

From 1983 to 1989 he was a member of the City Council of Dieppe and the Regional Parliament of the Haute-Normandie region ( 1986-1998 ).

He is a longstanding member of the European Parliament. In 1989 he joined on the list by Simone Veil, 1994, on the list of Dominique Baudis and 1999 to that of François Bayrou.
