Jean-Louis de Rambures
Jean -Louis de Rambures ( born May 19, 1930 in Paris, † 20 May, 2006 Vaudricourt (Somme ) ) was a French journalist, author, translator and cultural attaché. His full name was Jean- Louis Vicomte de Bretizel Rambures.
Life
His parents were Lucille Calogera, a Brazilian, and her husband, the Count Bernard de Picardy Bretizel Rambures. He learned not only their languages , Portuguese and French, but also came very early into contact with the German language and literature, which he would later translate very successfully. After leaving school in Toulouse and Paris, he attended universities in Tübingen and Paris and completed his studies with a " Diploma de l'Institut d' Etudes Politiques de Paris," a " Licence en droit " and a "Licence d' anglais ". In 1958 he began to work for the monthly magazine " réalités ", for which he wrote several portraits of artists such as by Herbert von Karajan, Karl Heinz Stockhausen, Luchino Visconti, among others From 1968 he wrote for the art magazine Connaissances of Arts, L' Express and Le Monde newspaper that printed over 25 years, his contributions.
