Jean-Loup Waldspurger

Jean- Loup Waldspurger (* 1953 ) is a French mathematician who deals with number theory and modular forms.

Waldspurger studied from 1972 at the École supérieure normal doctorate in 1980 with Marie -France Vigneras. He is a Research Director at the CNRS at the Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu in Paris. For his work ( Bao Châu Ngô proved by ) and to the transfer conjecture in the Langlands program for p- adic harmonic analysis, and especially for fundamental lemma 2009 he received the Clay Research Award. He also received the Silver Medal of the CNRS. In 1994 he was invited speaker on the ICM in Zurich ( integral Comparaison d' orbital pour des groupes p- adiques ) and 1983 in Warsaw ( Correspondences de Shimura ).
