Jean-Marc Pelletier

Jean -Marc Pelletier ( born March 4, 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender, who was standing between the posts for the Hamburg Freezers between 2007 and 2010.

Career

Pelletier was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round of the NHL Entry Draft in 1997 as a total of 30. At this time, he played for the Cornell University in the play mode of the NCAA College Conference, the following season he guarded the gate of the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In the season 1998/99 Pelletier was brought from the Flyers to their farm team, the Philadelphia Phantoms in the American Hockey League, and he also was on 4 March 1999 in a 0-5 defeat against the Ottawa Senators NHL debut for his celebrate the Flyers.

In January 2000, the keeper of the Flyers along with Rod Brind'Amour and a second-round pick was transferred to the Carolina Hurricanes, which in turn charges Keith Primeau and a fifth- round pick to the Flyers. However, Pelletier was never used by the Hurricanes in the NHL, but played in their farm team, the Cincinnati Cyclones of the International Hockey League with the Lowell Lock Monsters or in the AHL.

On 31 December 2002, the Hurricanes Pelletier exchanged against Patrick DesRochers who came for the Phoenix Coyotes. But even here the links catcher came only sporadically in the NHL to use and could only celebrate his first NHL victory on 20 February 2004, as the Coyotes defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2. Overall, Pelletier came in six NHL games for Phoenix to use.

In February 2005, the goalkeeper then moved to the Utah Grizzlies, who for Jamie Storr sent to the hawks. However Pelletier's contract ran out in the summer so that he as a free agent a contract with the Florida Panthers signed in the summer of 2005 and was used in their farm team, the Rochester Americans as a goalkeeper.

Due to the long-term failure of Robert Mueller, the Adler Mannheim the Americans undertook in December 2006. Using the Adler Mannheim he won in his first DEL season the German Ice Hockey Cup and the German Cup. For the 2007 /08 season Pelletier was in goal for the Hamburg Freezers, where he had signed a two -year contract with an option for another year.
