Jean-Marc Savelli

Jean -Marc Savelli ( born October 18, 1955 in Mulhouse in the Haut-Rhin ) is a French pianist.

The public, he was known by both interpretations of romantic compositions of Franz Liszt and Frédéric Chopin, but also the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Claude Debussy.

Life

His mother Marie -Louise Schreyer comes from a family traveling musician that occurred in Eastern Europe, before settling in the Lower Rhine. His father Gratien Savelli is from Corsica and often sang lamentations as well as other traditional folk songs of his native land. Savelli parents met during WWII know.

As an eight year old Jean Marc was filed by his parents at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Mulhouse in the Piano Professor Suzanne Muller favor. There he was in 1967 awarded at the conservatory competition with a first prize. In 1968 he was further promoted by Pierre Sancan who taught in Paris at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique. After successful entrance examination in 1968, he joined the class of Monique de la Bruchollerie. He graduated An organized by their summer seminar in 1971 with a diploma. After public concerts and recording disk Jean -Marc Savelli interrupted his career for family reasons and devoted himself during an artistic pause music therapy. In April 2005, he was one of the speakers during a symposium on spasmophilia ( hyperventilation syndrome) at the Sorbonne.
