Jean-Olivier Zirignon

Jean -Olivier Zirignon (* April 27, 1971 in Abidjan ) is a former Ivorian athlete who with the squadron reached the 1992 Olympic finals.

Zirignon came before 1991 in the advanced world leaders when he reached the semifinals in both the World Indoor Championships as well as over 60 meters at the outdoor World Championships over 100 meters.

In the 1992 Olympics he was eliminated in the 100 -meter run in the quarterfinals. With the Ivorian 4 x 100 - meter relay in the occupation of Frank Waota, Zirignon, Gilles Bogui and Ouattara Lagazane he reached the final and finished in 39.31 seconds in eighth place. The following year at the World Championships 1993 Zirignon different again in the quarterfinals. The squadron in the cast Lagazane, Zirignon, Waota and Ibrahim Meité reached the final and finished in 38.82 s seventh. In the Africa Championships 1993 Zirignon won the 100m silver behind the Nigerian Daniel Effiong.

The fastest time was Zirignon 1997 final of the Games of the Francophone States when he won in 10.07 s. This time was even ten years later still valid Ivorian national record.
