Jean-Pierre Fourcade

Jean -Pierre Fourcade ( born October 18, 1929) is a French politician.

Since 1995 he has been mayor of Boulogne- Billancourt, a suburb of Paris, in the département of Hauts -de -Seine in the Ile- de -France region. Previously, he held from 1971 to 1992 in the same office already in the neighboring city of Saint- Cloud.

His political sphere goes far beyond the regional policy. Since 1977 he has been without interruption Senator for his department and also held multiple government posts.

From May 1974 to August 1976 he was Minister of Economy and Finance under Prime Minister Jacques Chirac.
