Jean-Pierre-François Guillot-Duhamel

Jean Baptist Duhamel ( born May 2, 1767 in Ruffec (Charente), † 1847 ) was a professor of mining. He received his doctorate in 1783 at the Royal School of Mines. From 1795 to 1796 he was deputy professor of mining at the Hôtel de Mouchy. 1806 to 1813 he was director of the Mountain School in Geislautern. Jean- Baptist Duhamel created in Geislautern in 1810 the Saarland mines Atlas. According to him, the Duhamel - shaft of the mine Ensdorf was named.
