Jean-Pierre Kalfon

Jean -Pierre Kalfon ( born October 30, 1938 in Paris) is a French actor.

Life

After a turbulent youth, he was given the opportunity to study law or medicine, but opted for the acting. He appeared in plays by Ibsen, Chekhov and Calderón and his film debut was in 1958.

From 1963 he was a regular on camera repeatedly in films of the Nouvelle Vague - generation and gangster films. He often portrayed statuesque, silent, cold criminal. In other substances, however, he showed himself to be sensitive and vulnerable persona. For his performances in The Cry of the Owl (Le Cri du hibou ) and The School of Lost Girls ( Saint- Cyr ), it was proposed in 1988 and 2001 respectively for a César Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Occasionally, devoted Kalfon the music and entered 1973 in New York along with Bob Marley on.
