Jean-Pierre Marielle
Jean -Pierre Marielle ( born April 12, 1932 in Dijon ) is a French actor.
Life and career
Since the 1950s, he appeared in numerous French-language film productions. In the caper comedy The Boss (1985 ) with Jean -Paul Belmondo, he played a police chief. In the film La controversy de Valladolid, he embodied the 1992 Spanish missionary and human rights Bartolomé de las Casas ( 16th century). His most famous role was that of Jacques Saunière in The Da Vinci Code - The Da Vinci Code (2006), the film adaptation of Dan Brown's bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
