Jean-Pierre Ploué

Jean -Pierre Ploué (born 1962 ) is a French automotive designer.

Career

In 1985 Ploué received his diploma from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art.

Ploué began his career at Renault, where he worked from 1985 to 1995 in the design department. He was instrumental in the development of the Twingo (1992). After that, he was from 1995 to 1998 for the Volkswagen Design Center in Wolfsburg. In the years 1998 and 1999 he was chief designer at Ford Europe in Cologne.

In 2000, he joined the successor of Arthur Blakeslee as chief designer of the brand Citroën, who retired in March of this year. Linked to this, he headed the Centre de Création Citroën.
