Jean Smart

Jean Smart ( * September 13, 1951 in Seattle, Washington ) is an American actress.

Career

Jean Smart began her acting career in regional theater groups, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. After she completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington, she went to New York. There she had her stage debut in Last Summer at Bluefish Cove, an off- Broadway play, which earned her a nomination for a Drama Desk Award and helped to a role on Broadway.
