Life

The French author wrote surrealist poetry absurd and the absurd theater committed act play, so-called " chamber pieces " ( Théatre de chambre, 1955). Topics of these pieces are primarily linguistic clichés and theater and general social conventions.

As co-founder of the cultural program of the French post-war radio - especially the Club d' Essai (1946 ) and the Atelier de Création Radiophonique (1969 ) - took Tardieu a similar intermediary position between artists or intellectuals and electronic mass media as his German colleague Alfred Andersch.
