Jean Van Hamme

Jean Van Hamme ( born January 16, 1939 in Brussels) is a Belgian writer of adventure novels and screenplays, as well as one of the most successful lyricist of comics in Europe. His commercially important series include XIII and Largo Winch.

Life and work

Van Hamme has a degree in finance and worked in the marketing of several companies until 1976 he devoted himself exclusively to writing. Since 1968 he has written comic scenarios.
