Jeanne Paquin

Jeanne Paquin (* 1869, † 1936) was one of the first fashion designers. You certain about three decades with the fashion events of their time. Became famous their fur-trimmed costumes and coats.

After training as a seamstress in a famous Parisian fashion house founded in 1891 Jeanne Paquin her own fashion house. She was supported by her husband, a banker, who also took over the management of her salon. Her clients included celebrities like the Queen of Belgium and Wallis Simpson. In 1900 she was the chairman of the fashion show organization of the Paris World's Fair, she also served temporarily as president of the " Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne".
