Jeannot Szwarc

Jeannot Szwarc ( born November 21, 1939 in Paris ) is a French film director.

Life

He began his career as a director in the early 1960s with several episodes of the television series The Virginian. For the series, the boss with Raymond Burr, he worked as a director, screenwriter and producer. In the early 1970s he made several television films until 1973 with Extreme close-up from a screenplay by Michael Crichton his first feature film realized. Until his most famous film Jaws 2 of 1978, he turned next to other TV movies still various episodes of the series Kojak - Kojak and The Rockford Files - just call and the feature film fire beetles. For his film Somewhere in Time was awarded the prize for best director working on the Fanta Festival 1981. Then he turned with Supergirl and Santa Claus (1985 ), two less successful movies until the early 1990s, he again completely dedicated to the TV work. Szwarc turned episodes to series like Fringe - Special cases of the FBI, JAG - The Call of Duty, Seven Days - The gateway to time, Ally McBeal, Grey's Anatomy, Practice - Lawyers, Smallville, Without a Trace - Without a Trace, Heroes and Bones - The Knochenjägerin.
