Jedlicze

Jedlicze is a town in Poland, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship.

Geography

Jedlicze is located in south-eastern Poland, approximately 35 kilometers north of the border with Slovakia and 80 kilometers west of the border with Ukraine.

History

The first mention of today Jedlicze comes the year 1410. Municipal law of the settlement in 1768 by Stanisław August Poniatowski was granted. In the First Partition of Poland, the city came to Austria. In 1884 it was connected to the rail network and the end of the 19th century, an oil refinery was built. After the First World War the city became part of the revived Poland. On September 8, 1939, the city was occupied by the Wehrmacht. The occupation lasted until the invasion of the Red Army in January 1945. Subsequently, the site was again part of Poland.

In 1925 there were about 800 people in Jedlicze.

Twinning

The municipality has a partnership with Mallersdorf- Pfaff mountain in Bavaria since 26 June 1999.

Traffic

North of the city, the country road runs 28 which leads to the east by the few km to the west of Krosno and after about ten kilometers through Jasło.

Jedlicze has a railway station on the direct inter alia to Sanok and Jasło offered.

The nearest international airport is about 50 kilometers north airport Rzeszóz.
