Jeep Patriot 2.0 CRD Limited ( 2007-2010)
The Jeep Patriot is a compact crossover SUV, which had its debut at the New York Auto Show 2006. Market in the U.S. was in early 2007.
History
In the line-up of the Jeep brand, it is between the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Cherokee. It is based on the jointly developed by DaimlerChrysler and Mitsubishi GS platform on which inter alia also the Jeep Compass and Dodge Caliber are available. Together with these two vehicles being produced in Belvidere, Illinois (USA). The Patriot is available in both front-wheel drive and with the Freedom Drive I mentioned all-wheel drive. When engine is optionally available is a 2.4 -liter gasoline engine R4 or a 2.0 -liter gasoline engine R4 is available. The latter however without all-wheel drive, but it comes standard with a CVT transmission. The power transfer when it occurs 2.4 standard with a five-speed manual gearbox or optional CVT transmission.
The drag coefficient is 0.41.
Since the end of 2007, the Patriot is also officially available in Germany. Here, however, the 2.0 -liter gasoline engine R4 is not offered, but a 2.4 - liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 125 kW ( 170 hp). This was available with 5- speed manual transmission or automatic with stepless. In addition, there is the only available for Europe 2.0 -liter R4 turbo diesel engine ( 2.0 CRD ) with 103 kW ( 140 hp). This engine comes from the Volkswagen Group and corresponds to the known there 2.0 TDI engine ( previous version with pump-nozzle injection) and is fitted as standard in the Patriot with a diesel particulate filter. In conjunction with this engine a manual six- speed gearbox is used. In April 2010, the 2.0 CRD diesel engine with a 2.2 CRD with 120 kW (163 hp) was replaced. End of 2010, the sales of the Jeep Patriot in Germany has been set, in the U.S., the Jeep is still being sold.
For model year 2011, the Patriot has been revised. Externally modernized only moderately software, but technically revised: Improving a newly tuned chassis with other Feder-/Dämpfer-Kombinationen and a stronger stabilizer road holding and ride comfort. The interior has been thoroughly modernized as already at the 2011 Jeep Wrangler, upgraded with better materials and more noble feel. Added to this was the standard steering wheel and the new Jeep entertainment system.
