Jeetze is a district of the town Kalbe (Milde ) in the Altmark Salzwedel in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Jeetze is about ten kilometers north of the main town Kalbe (Milde ) and 17 kilometers south of Arendsee in the Altmark. The eponymous river Jeetze flows about 18 miles to the west and the mildness of six kilometers east of the village.

History

Jeetze was first mentioned in documents in 1238, Siepe 1324.

Until the end of 2009 Jeetze was with the district Siepe, incorporated to Jeetze on 1 July 1950 an independent municipality.

Through a field change agreement, the municipal councils of the municipalities town Kalbe (Milde ) decided ( 25 June 2009 ), Brunaupark ( 12 May 2009 ), Engersen ( 2 June 2009 ), Jeetze ( 3 June 2009 ), Kakerbeck ( on June 25, 2009), Packebusch ( (Milde ) are combined on 4 June 2009) and Vienau on May 14, 2009) that their communities dissolved and a new town Kalbe (. This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.

After implementation of the association agreement of the previously autonomous municipality Jeetze Jeetze and Siepe districts were the new town Kalbe (Milde ).
