Jeff Carson

Jeff Carson ( born December 16, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an American country singer.

Jeff Carson brought on twelve years even with the accordion and guitar. After he had finished second in a talent contest his school, he decided to become a musician. His original career aspiration, a police officer, he gave up ( he was the police but always connected ). The entry into the professional scene succeeded after leaving school in another talent show. Although he did not win again, his appearance gave him a place in the house band at a club in Rogers ( Arkansas). There he played for four years as a bass player. Then he moved to Branson, Missouri, where he joined several bands and began writing songs. He married in 1989 and moved to Nashville.

Career

An acquaintance of his wife gave him a place as a bass player in the band Texana, which stood at the Opryland Hotel under contract. After a year, he managed to get a job as a soloist in the same hotel. In addition to his performances, he tried his hand as a songwriter. He received a contract with a local music publisher, where he mainly recorded demos. For several years he was one of the most sought after demo singer Nashville.

1994 Jeff Carson wrote a record contract with the independent label Curb. The his 1995 debut single taken from Not On Your Love reached number one on the country charts, the next song, The Car, third place. The video was to be elected by the Academy of Country Music for "Video of the Year". However, these early successes did not repeat itself. In the next few years he came back about chart positions, only rarely. This was due to the low presence of his songs in country radio. After a long dry spell he had enough self-written songs together in 2001 to persuade his record company to produce a new album. With real life he was able to continue the old results.

Even outside of the music scene Jeff Carson was active. He was Speaker of the National Association of Slain Officers, a nonprofit organization that serves the members in the service of murdered police officer in 2001.
