Jeff Likens

Jeffrey Likens ( born August 28, 1985 in Barrington, Illinois ) is an American professional ice hockey defender, who is from the 2013/14 season at the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg in the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Jeff Likens began his career as a hockey player 2003 Hockey team from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where he played four years in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Towards the end of the season 2006/ 07 the Americans was taken from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League contract. By the end of his first season in professional hockey Likens came to ten appearances in the regular season and six more in the playoffs. The following season, played in 56 games Likens for the Monarchs in the AHL, as well as another 15 times for their farm team, the Reading Royals of the ECHL.

In summer 2008, Likens signed a contract with the Augsburger Panther of the DEL. Two years later he joined the Nuremberg Ice Tigers. In April 2011, the Americans signed a valid for the 2011/12 season contract with the ERC Ingolstadt. In April 2013 it was announced that Likens has signed for one year in the league rivals Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg.

Internationally

For the United States Likens took part in the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2003 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2004 and 2005. At the tournament in 2004 he won the gold medal with the U.S. selection. Overall, he came at the three tournaments on 19 missions in which the defender recorded seven assists.
