Jeff Tweedy

Jeffrey Scot " Jeff" Tweedy ( born August 25, 1967 in Belleville, Illinois) is an American songwriter from Chicago. He was known primarily for his band Wilco. He was also, together with Jay Farrar founding member of the alt-country band Uncle Tupelo and a member of the alt-country band Allstar Golden Smog, including with Gary Louris of the Jayhawks, band members of Soul Asylum and the Replacements. Together with Jim O'Rourke and Glenn Kotche he forms the band Loose Fur
