Jeff Waters

Jeff Waters ( born February 13, 1966 in Ottawa, Canada ) is a Canadian guitarist, producer and head of the thrash metal band Annihilator.

Biography

At the age of eight he started learning to play guitar. In 1984 he founded together with singer John Bates, the band Annihilator. Especially since 1989, he is celebrating more success with this band. Alice in Hell, the title of the first album, was released in September 1989 and provided not least because of the song Alison Hell for a large sit up in the scene. In 1990 he was offered to audition for the vacant post at Megadeth guitar. Waters rejected this, however, because he wanted to continue to concentrate on his own band. Since the mid- 1990s Waters has his own studio where he produced not only Annihilator, but also other bands. 1997 Waters Album Remains made ​​completely independently. He played all the instruments (except the drums) himself, sang and even used a drum machine to the CD to improve. In August 2005, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth tried again to bring Jeff Waters on guitar in his band. Waters declined in favor of his own band from again. By 2013, he has recorded 14 studio albums with his band Annihilator.
