Jefferson County is a county located in the state of Oklahoma in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Waurika.

Geography

The County is located in southern Oklahoma, bordering Texas and has an area of ​​2004 square kilometers, of which 39 square kilometers are water surface. History

Jefferson County was formed territory on July 16, 1907 from parts of Comanche County and Oklahoma. It was named after the third U.S. President Thomas Jefferson.
