Jeffrey Kevin van Homoet Bruma (* 13 November 1991 in Rotterdam ) is a Dutch footballer who is at PSV Eindhoven under contract. It can be used as a central defender, right defender and a defensive midfielder.
Career
Beginning in the Netherlands
Born in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam Bruma started at Excelsior Rotterdam and then came to the youth department of Feyenoord Rotterdam. The local junior he was not long, however, because at the age of 15, he moved in 2007 to England in the junior section of Chelsea FC for training compensation of £ 100,000.
Change into the professional team of FC Chelsea
For the season 2009/10 Bruma was first brought into the first team and stood in September 2009 in the squad who took part in the UEFA Champions League 2009/10. He sat among others in the group stage with a match against FC Porto on the bench but did not play. Soon after, he gave the 24 October 2009 his league, while his professional debut for Chelsea, as in the 5-0 home win over Blackburn Rovers in the 66 minutes with the score at 5-0 for Ricardo Carvalho he on the grass came.

On loan to Hamburg
For the season 2011/12 Bruma moved on loan to the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV. He signed a one year contract until 30 June 2012 with an option for another year. On 23 September 2011 ( 7th Round ) he scored in the 2-1 win in the away match against VfB Stuttgart with the results for the interim 1-1 his first Bundesliga goal. After the season, Chelsea renounced the Rückholoption. While Bruma was in the 2011/12 season sporadically regulars, it was brought forward in his second year Michael Mancienne alongside Heiko Westermann. After the end of the lending agreement, he will return to his original club.

For the 2013/14 season Bruma returns to the Netherlands, for first division club PSV Eindhoven.
National
First international experience gained Bruma in June 2009, when he participated with the Dutch U-19 selection of the so-called elite lap in qualifying for the U-19 Football Championship in 2009 and is 4 June 2009 in the 0-0 draw debuted against the U-19 national team of Belarus. About three months later, the young defender made his debut for the Dutch U-21 national team, when he died in a qualifier for the U-21 EURO 2011 Group 4 against Poland U-21 national team to use. The game October 13, 2009, the Dutch won 4-0. Bruma came in three U-19 internationals used and completed nine games for the U-21 national team.
End of July 2010 Bruma was finally appointed by Bond coach Bert van Marwijk for a friendly match against Ukraine in the squad of the national team of the Netherlands. In the game on 11 August 2010 stood next to Bruma with Jeremain Lens, Siem de Jong and Ricky van Wolfswinkel three debutants in the starting lineup of the Dutch. In the game Bruma was replaced from 84 minutes by Glenn Loovens.
