Jeffrey Chiesa

Jeffrey Scott Chiesa ( born June 22, 1965) is an American politician ( Republican).

From 2012 to 2013 he was Minister of Justice ( Attorney General ) of the State of New Jersey. On June 6, 2013 Governor Chris Christie announced that he, with effect from June 10, 2013 appoint Chiesa U.S. Senator for New Jersey and thus make the successor to the beginning of June, the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg. Chiesa announced immediately to not to stand at the next election in October 2013 extraordinary for this Senate seat and held the office thus only interim until the swearing in of this particular successor. In this by-election on 16 October 2013, the Democratic politicians Cory Booker prevailed; with his swearing in on 31 October 2013 ends Chiesa tenure in the Senate.
