Jeffrey Osborne

Jeffrey Osborne ( born March 9, 1948 in Providence, Rhode Iceland ) is an American funk and R & B musician, and former lead singer of the band LTD

Osborne is the youngest of 12 children in his musical family. He has five brothers and six sisters, some of whom also had a music career (his brother Billy was there at LTD). Osborne's father, Clarence " Legs" Osborne, was a great trumpeter who played with Lionel Hampton, Count Basie and Duke Ellington together. Osborne started his music career in 1969 with a band called Love Men Ltd.. , Which later the abbreviation LTD got. The band recorded hits like "Everytime I Turn Around ( Back in Love Again )" and " ( Holdin ' On) When Love Is Gone ." First, Osborne was the drummer, and then only became lead singer of the band. Then he launched his solo career.

In 1982, Osborne released his debut album named after himself, which the two hit singles "On the Wings of Love" and "I Really Do not Need No Light" included, which only reached number 29 and 39 on the charts. In 1985, he was with the band in USA for Africa, and sang the hit " We Are the World " with a.
