JÄ“kabpils Municipality

The district Jēkabpils ( Jēkabpils novads ) is an administrative unit in southeastern Latvia.

Population

2009 joined the communities Abeli ​​, Dignaja, Dunava, Kalna, Leimani, Rubene and Zasa together. The administration building is located in Jēkabpils (German Jakobstadt ), although this city is not part of the " novads ".

2010 lived in 906 square kilometers of 5747 inhabitants. The area is bordered to the south of the Dvina and is rural. It is part of the historic landscape Sēlija.
