Jela Špitková

Jela Špitková ( born January 1, 1947 in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak- Austrian violin soloist and high school teacher.

Curriculum vitae

As a six year old to Jela Špitková began at the music school in her home town of Nové Mesto nad Váhom to devote the violin. This training, she continued in the class of Prof. Albín Vrtěl the Bratislava Conservatory. During this stage of study, she began to give concerts abroad and represented the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Switzerland. They then played a year in about 50 concerts. In the fourth study year, she was selected together with Edita Gruber and Marián Lapšanský to represent the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on a tour of the Netherlands. Study

In Prague and Vienna

On April 19, 1968 Jela Špitková completed her studies at the Conservatory with the Violin Concerto by Tchaikovsky in the Hall of the Slovak Philharmonic as "Best Graduate of the Year" from. Family

  • Mother: Oľga Špitková, born Bogyayová, a graduate of the Commercial Academy Bratislava, worked as a bank teller. She was artistically talented and engaged in oil painting.
