Jennifer Oeser

Jennifer "Jenny" Oeser ( born November 29, 1983 in Brunsbuttel ) is a German track and field athlete.

2000, the German heptathlete B- Junior Champion, 2001 runner-up of the A- Youth, 2003 U23 European champion and 2004 German junior champion.

In 2006, she won for the first time in the adult area, the national championship. At the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 they increased their then- personal best of 6376 points and missed a medal in fourth place by just 44 points.

In 2007 she qualified along with Lilli Schwarzkopf and Sonja Kesselschläger for the World Championships in Osaka. There she improved on Gothenburg to two points, finishing with 6378 points in seventh place. With 6350 points she won at the Olympic Games in Beijing, originally the twelfth place after the disqualification due to doping of the Ukrainian Ljudmyla Blonska they moved up to eleventh place. In preparation for the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, she managed to significantly improve their personal best again to 6442 points at the meeting in Ratingen. At the World Championships themselves, it increases again to 6493 points. They won despite a crash in the final 800 - meter race silver and thus the first German all-around medal for 12 years. 2010, they increased their peak performance at the European Championships in 6683 points and captured the bronze medal. At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu Oeser finished behind the Russian Tatjana Chernova and the British defending champion Jessica Ennis with 6572 points, third place.

Jennifer Oeser is 1.75 m tall, weighs 62 kg and starts for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Your trainers are Karl -Heinz Düe and Peter Gennun. Since July 23, 2011, she is a police major champion at the federal police. On 1 April 2010 she began a correspondence course for diploma sport manager (IST), which she successfully completed in May 2012. In December 2011, she was voted Sportswoman of the Year by NRW.
