Jennifer Stoute

Jennifer Stoute (Jennifer Elaine "Jenny" Stoute; born April 16, 1965 in Bradford) is a former British sprinter.

At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, she was in the 4 x 400 meters relay with the British team sixth. The following year she was at the Indoor Athletics Championships in The Hague Fourth of over 200 m.

In 1990, she was starting for England at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland Fourth than 200 meters and fifth in the 400m. With the English relay races, she won silver in the 4 x 100 - meter relay and gold in the 4 x 400 - meter relay. At the European Athletics Championships in Split she won bronze with the British team in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

At the World Athletics Championships 1991 in Tokyo, she reached the quarterfinals of over 200 m. ( 3:24,23 min Phylis Smith, Sandra Douglas Stoute, Sally Gunnell ) behind the relay races of the United team and the following year she won at the Olympic Games in Barcelona bronze in the 4 x 400 - meter relay United states. About 200 m she came into the semi-finals.

An injury in the hamstrings muscles led in 1993 to the end of her career in high performance sport. From 1996 to 1999 she appeared as a Rebel on the UK television show Gladiators. In 2000, she participated in stunts for the film Gladiator.

Jennifer Stoute is married to her fellow sprinter John Regis and mother of two daughters.
