Jennifer Zeng

Jennifer Zeng (* October 19, 1966 ) is a human rights activist and author from the People's Republic of China. In the West she is best known for her 2005 published book Witnessing History: One Chinese Woman's Fight for Freedom and Falun Gong (ISBN 978-1741144000 ).

Life and education

She was born in Sichuan Province, and studied at Peking University later. She graduated there with a masters in biochemistry.

In 1997 she started to practice Falun Gong. Since the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the late 1990s they came in detention due to the four times.

In 2001, she finally fled to Australia, where she is still living in Sydney today.
