Jenny Mensing

Jenny Mensing ( born February 26, 1986 in Berlin ) is a German swimmer and European champion. After her training in Wiesbaden is police commissioner since 2012. Overall, she is now 18 times German Champion in various disciplines.

At the German Championships 2006, she finished third in the 100 meters back. In 2008 and 2009 she was German champion in the 200 meters backstroke. On 12 August 2010, she won at the European Swimming Championships in Budapest 2010 100m backstroke bronze medal. Three days later she won the 4 × 100 meter medley relay also third place.

Jenny Mensing presented in the course of their career on four German national records. So in the discipline 50m backstroke in 28.31 s ( 2011), the 100m backstroke in 59.85s (2012 ) and 200m backstroke in 2:08:30 min ( 2012).

In the European Swimming Championships in Debrecen 2012 she won on 24 May 2012, the 100m backstroke gold medal, this was also the 250th German gold medal at the European Championships. On the last day of the European Championships in 2012 she brought along with Sarah Poewe, Alexandra Wenk and Britta Steffen the gold medal in the 4 x 100 meter medley relay. At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, it launched, among other 200m backstroke.
