Jens Adler

Jens Adler ( born April 25, 1965 in Halle ( Saale) ) is a former German football player. Adler was the last goalkeeper of the East German national soccer team.

Adler stood since 1974 at Halle FC chemistry in goal. With the club he managed in 1987 the rise in the GDR Oberliga. The best result he achieved in the season 1990/91, the last season before inclusion in the schedule of the Association, as the HFC finished fourth and qualified for both the UEFA Cup, as well as for the 2nd Bundesliga. Overall, Adler denied in his career 198 point games for the Halle FC.

In 1990 he came to his only use in the national football team of the GDR. The last game of the team before its dissolution, a friendly match against Belgium, eagle came on three minutes before the end of the game by coach Eduard Geyer for Jens Schmidt. Adler is thus considered the last national player of the GDR.

After separation from the Halle FC Stahl Brandenburg eagle came over in 1995 to Hertha BSC, where he was taken as a replacement for goalkeeper Christian Fiedler under contract. In the two years at Hertha he came only to a single use. On the final day of the 1996/97 season he came off the bench in the game against the KFC Uerdingen 05 for fiddlers and celebrated with the team despite defeat promotion to the first division. He then moved to the fourth and third class from 1999 VfL Halle 1896. During the last season of the Regionalliga Nord 1999/2000 he was careful in 29 games the Gate of Halle.

After ending his playing career eagle stands since January 1, 2001 at Halle FC as goalkeeper coach under contract.
