Jens Baxmann
Jens Baxmann ( born March 24, 1985 in Wernigerode ) is a German professional ice hockey player who plays on the position of the defender for the Polar Bears Berlin in the DEL since 2003.
Career
Jens Baxmann began his career with the ESV Schierke, in which he played to the students age. He then moved to the West resin for Brown Location SC / resin, for which he in the in the 2000 /01 season - sechstklassigen - Niedersachsenliga nine games completed. During a junior game between the Braunlager SC / resin and the polar bears Juniors Berlin on the Halberstadt Christmas Market Baxmann was discovered by the person in charge of the polar bear and moved in 2001 to the Juniors. For the Juniors he played in the DNL and in the regional league, before he came to his first stakes in the DEL team of polar bears in 2003. In the playoffs 2003/ 04 he played in all parts of the polar bears and came in April 2004 against DEG Metro Stars for his first point scorer in the DEL.
In the season 2006/ 07 Baxmann got very little usage times and was mostly used instead of its traditional defense position in the fourth forward line. In April 2007 he had to undergo a shoulder surgery, and then to show the beginning of the following season, very good performance ..
For the German national team, he previously played eight inserts.
