Jens Dowe

Jens Dowe ( born June 1, 1968 in Rostock) is a former football player in the GDR Oberliga and the Bundesliga.

Dowe learned to play football in the local team FC Hansa Rostock before moving at age 19 to BSG Greifswald NPP. From 1989 to 1994, and between 1997 and 1999 he again played as a midfielder in the dress of Hansa Rostock. He played during the turn of 34 games in the DDR - Oberliga, scoring five goals. After winning the NOFV- league championship and the fdgb Cup 90/91, he qualified with Hansa directly for the European Champions Cup and the Bundesliga. In 1992, he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with Hansa Rostock.

In 1994, Dowe, motivated by financial constraints of the FC Hansa, the first division club TSV 1860 Munich, for the 51 games he graduated in two years and scored four goals. In the 1996/97 season he played for three clubs. First, he ran for Hamburger SV, but there was only four times for use. In October 1996, he went for £ 200,000 on loan to England for the second division club Wolverhampton Wanderers and changed the year in the Austrian Bundesliga SK Sturm Graz, which he even won the OFB Cup.

Then Dowe went back in 1997 to the Baltic Hansa Rostock and experienced at the end of the season his best placement Bundesliga with sixth place. The following season was a scarce relegation less successful. The SK Rapid Vienna signed him in 1999 and he remained in Austria until 2001, once occupied the third and even the second place. In 2002 he moved to the then newly promoted surprise SV Babelsberg 03 in the 2nd Bundesliga. Babelsberg immediately rose again to the Regionalliga from, and so he went to the third division side Holstein Kiel, where he still played until 2004.

Then Dowe originally wanted to work off together with René Schneider at the regional division SV Warnemünde and get involved in the football school. However, after a few games, he followed the call of the fourth division team SV Wilhelmshaven and moved to the Oberliga Nord. However, after only four games, he broke his contract after public criticism of the association's work and hired under the former Rostock assistant coach Jürgen Decker at TSG Neustrelitz in the Oberliga Nordost.

On January 16, 2006 Dowe moved to the dugout and replaced Andreas Zachhuber as coach of Greifswald SV 04 (Association League Mecklenburg -Western Pomerania) from, was there, however, on 2 May 2006, after Zach Huber's resignation as an assistant coach at MSV Duisburg, discharged. 2007 Dowe was first assistant coach in the youth field of the FC Hansa Rostock before he took over in March 2009, the same position in the second team under Axel Rietentiet, which he held until June 2009. Then Dowe was first coach of Rostock C youth team and moved in the summer of 2010 in the Youth B team. In the season 2010/11, this then got out of the U-17 Bundesliga from the Regionalliga, which is why Dowes was not renewed in 2011 expiring contract in the summer.

In September 2012, he became coach of Mecklenburg Oberliga SV goods 09 after he had been working since July 2012 at the National division Guestrower SC 09. At the end of the season 2012/2013 to Dowe and Warener parted again. In July 2013 he returned to the youth department of Hansa Rostock and took over the U13.
