Jens Hirschberg

Jens -Uwe Hirschberg ( born May 6, 1964 in Haldensleben ) is a former German long jumper.

Sporting successes

Hirschberg took part in the World Championships in Athletics 1987 in Rome, where he finished fifth. Other successes reach him at the championships of the GDR in the years 1987 and 1990, when he was second in each case, in 1986 he won at the East German Indoor Championships. The first championships after the German reunification in 1991 he third parties.

Hirschberg's best performance is 8.18 meters, which he achieved in Neubrandenburg 1987. He started for the SC Magdeburg. In the becoming public knowledge after the fall of documents to the state doping in the GDR was found in the doped athletes also the name of Hirschberg.
