Jens Karlsson

Jens Karlsson ( born November 7, 1982 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for Borås HC HockeyAllsvenskan.

His brother Sebastian Karlsson is also a professional hockey player.

Career

The first attempts at standing on the ice dared Jens Karlsson in the youth of Frölunda HC, for which he also starred in the first professional year period between 2000 and 2005. His first pro year, the Los Angeles Kings prompted to draw him in the first round at the NHL Entry Draft in 2001. During the time in Gothenburg almost 1.90 m wide striker was twice for a few second division games available. His last stop for the time being in Sweden for the season 2005/ 06 HV 71 Jönköping. After one season, he decided a change in the DEL in order to gain new experience in a view to subsequent NHL career. That's why he signed a one year contract with the Iserlohn Roosters, which was not extended. The season 2007/ 08 he spent in Sweden again, this time in Borås HC HockeyAllsvenskan.
