Jens Kraft

Janus or Jens Krafft (even force) (* October 1720 in Frederiksberg Hall, Norway, † 1756 or March 18, 1765 in Soro, Denmark) was a Danish philosopher.

After he became at the age of five years, orphan, he was raised by his uncle in Thy on Jutland.

In 1739 he began his studies in Copenhagen and also attended lectures by Christian Wolff in Halle. After he earned his master's in 1742, undertook a long trip abroad.

In 1746 he became professor of mathematics and philosophy at the Soro Akademi.

1751-53 he published a number of books on logic, ontology, cosmology, psychology and natural theology, in which he presented a system modeled on Wolff philosophical system.
