Jens Lundqvist

Jens Lundqvist ( born August 29, 1979 in Gävle) is a Swedish table tennis player. He qualified in 2012 for the second time to participate in the Olympic Games.

Career

First international successes achieved Jens Lundqvist at European Junior Championships: 1993, he reached double with Henrik Nyqvist the final, a year later, he won both the team competition as well as in a double, again with Henrik Nyqvist.

Since 2002, he participated in six European championships (until 2012 ). In 2002, he won a gold medal with the Swedish team, in 2010 he came with Pär Gerell in double to the semifinals. From 2003 to 2012 Jens Lundqvist was nominated eleven times for the world championships, where he finished fourth in the team competition in 2004.

For the first time he qualified in 2008 for participating in the Summer Olympics. In some he left in the first round, with the team he finished in ninth place. In 2012, he again takes part in the Summer Olympic Games.

In 2001, Jens Lundqvist from the Swedish club in the German Bundesliga Söderhamns VIF to TTC Frickenhausen. Here he was in 2006 German team champion. He remained until 2006 and then moved for a season to TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen. After a spell in France Vaillante Angers 2009 he returned to Bundesliga Werder Bremen back.

2012 Jens Lundqvist was the fourth time Swedish champion in singles.
