Jens Scharping

Jens Sharping (born 16 July 1974) is a former German football player.

The striker began his career at Eimsbütteler TV, for whom he played from 1986 to 1993. He then moved to FC St. Pauli, for whom he played between 1995 and 1997 46 Bundesliga matches and scored 12 goals. In the 1998/1999 season he played for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen in the 2nd Bundesliga, but was able to record only ten inserts and remained without a goal.

The next two years he played for the first SC Norderstedt and the Lüneburg SK, before moving to VfB Lübeck 2001. By 2004, he came to 111 second-division games and 35 goals. Then he moved to Alemannia Aachen, for a total of 23 games he played in the 2004/2005 season, scoring three goals and UEFA Cup experience gained.

During the winter break of 2005/ 06 at the end of coach Dieter Hecking hardly considered Sharping moved back to FC St.Pauli. But in St. Pauli, he was unable to repeat his old performances, so his contract was not renewed after the rise of the team. Then finished Sharping 2006/ 07 his career.
