Jens Werrmann

Jens Werrmann (born 29 May 1985 in Bad Kreuznach ) is a German athlete who specializes in the 110- meter hurdles.

He finished fourth at the Junior World Championships 2004 in Grosseto. 2006 and 2007 Werrmann was German junior champion and at the U23 European Championships 2007 in Debrecen, he finished fourth.

In the adult area Werrmann in 2005 and fifth in 2006 second in the German Championships. He was nominated in 2006 for the European Championships in Gothenburg, where he improved his personal best to 13.60 seconds and finished sixth in the final. In 2008 he had to be operated on the intervertebral disc and the groin. The following year he met the standard for the World Championships in Berlin, but as fourth in the German Championships he was only substitute runner. In September, he improved the DecaNation in Paris his best to 13.51 seconds.

2010 reached Werrmann at the German Indoor Championships in third place. Outdoors he set his personal best and met the standard for the European Championships in Barcelona. Then, however, he retired to a ligament and suffered in the years thereafter repeatedly injuries or illnesses.

Werrmann launched for the VT Rockhausen, 1 FC Kaiserslautern (until 2005), LAZ Zweibrücken (2006-2010) and LAZ Leipzig (since 2011). He was inducted into the Sport Development Group of the Federal Police in 2005.
