Jeremy Evans

Jeremy Evans ( born October 27, 1987 in Crossett, Arkansas ) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Utah Jazz in the National Basketball Association since 2010.


Evans played four years for the college team in the Western Kentucky University and finished his collegiate career as the best shot blocker the team's history. When NBA Draft 2010 he was selected by the Utah Jazz in the second round Draft at position 55.

During NBA All-Star Weekend 2012 Evans took over as substitutes for the injured Iman Shumpert, the Slam Dunk Contest and won it against Paul George.

After the season 2011/12 Evans extended his contract with the Utah Jazz by three years.

In 2013 he again took part in the Slam Dunk Contest, but was behind Terrence Ross second.
