Jeremy Larner

Jeremy Larner ( born March 20, 1937) is an American journalist, poet and screenwriter who the Oscar for best original screenplay for the film Bill McKay at the Academy Awards 1973 - The candidate received.

Biography

After school he studied at Brandeis University in Waltham and graduated in 1958. His first work as a screenwriter was Drive, He Said (1971 ) by Jack Nicholson, before 1972, the script for Bill McKay - The candidate wrote by Michael Ritchie with Robert Redford and Peter Boyle. For this, he not only received the 1973 Oscar for best original screenplay, but also the price of the Writers Guild of America (WGA Award) for Best Original Screenplay.

In 2007, Larner, who is also active as a journalist and poet, as guest on SunDeis Film Festival at Brandeis University, and reported not only from his work in film productions, but also read from his latest anthology.
